Did you hear that? The closing sequence from the theatrical release of Blade Runner came from unused footage from the opening sequence of The Shining given Ridley Scott by Stanley Kubrick.
Now, let's take a look at the opening of The Shining...
And now the closing of Blade Runner...
It is mind blowing that beautiful, but completely
recognizable, footage from The Shining could be so transformed when seen
in Blade Runner. The mist and fog rising become something other worldly
altogether.
